Hi, I'm Celina! The hands behind every little octopus in this shop.

I work as a Radiologic Technologist at Kaiser, where I've spent my career caring for patients. Crocheting started as a new hobby, but it quickly became something I couldn't put down. Before I knew it, I had so many finished pieces and no idea what to do with them all.

I decided that I wanted to give my finished pieces to families who could use a little comfort, so I reached out about donating baby blankets to our local NICU. That's when a nurse manager told me about crocheted octopuses. The soft tentacles give premature babies something to hold onto — a gentle reminder of the womb that helps soothe them and keeps their tiny hands away from their tubes and IVs. I was inspired. I started making them in all different colors, and learning how much they meant to the babies and their families meant so much to me.

Today, each octopus I make serves two purposes: the ones you see here help support my craft so I can keep creating, and they allow me to keep donating to NICUs along the way. Every purchase means that another baby gets a soft little friend to hold. Thank you for being part of that and for giving these octopuses a home.
